peek at the week - insta friday once again

...to say this week has been busy, would be an understatement, to say it rolled past be at freight train speed would be more accurate...where did the time go?
Here's a peek at what I was up to in life, with Earth Angels and what I was able to capture with some quick images from the cell phone...Thanks for popping by as I link up with Life Rearranged's "Insta Friday" and the other gals out there to share a peek at my week....

I often muse how very fortunate I am to work, surrounded by the happy and oh so lovely, creations of the many Earth Angels artists...this week, new shadowboxes arrived from talented Krys Kirkpatrick and well, what can I say but "Hip Hip Hooray!"
...time for an announcement...Earth Angels will be bringing you talented Michelle Sylvia candles and room fragrances from "The Blackberry Briar"....I am so excited, more on this soon as we prepare photos and text for the new pages on our site...
We got the kids into the city for the day...of course we hit my fave spot in Central Park, the Alice in Wonderland Sculpture -- it dates from 1959 and I wonder how many million kids have climbed in, on and around it since then???
And at the Central Park Children's Zoo where this peacock was strutting and styling! But I should have snapped a piccy of the Red Pandas who take the cake on cuteness...
And we hit the Met's new American Wing...
And the Met's "Arms and Armor"...with live demos...
All around the kids give the art and the day 2 thumbs up...
Here's a shot of the prettiest hutch eva! Don't touch the hutch Ro! It's divine...
...I got officially spoiled (early bday treat) by my great gal pal, Ro...here she sports a cotton candy pink moustache at her fave restaurant, "The Four Seasons"...she took me there to wine and dine me and we laughed til we cried and shared a wonderful evening...thanks Ro...oh
Look who has been found and is winging his way to my little friend Theresa in Munich right now!!!! Thanks to all of you for the help on the search for "Puppy"!!!! HOORAY!!!!
My nephew Henry played Herman -- the owner of the Fandango Ballroom -- in his high school's production of Sweet Charity...total wowness, this kid can really sing (yes, he gets it from the other side of his family, clearly not in my genes)...congrats Henry!
...and look at these....Letty, Letty, Letty...what more can I say, your eye for detail and your style send me...
Melody is at it again...book binder cuffs...she has an imagination like none other!!!
BAAAAAAA... a new customer pal Jana is smitten with Debbee's sheep and lambs and I had to nab a quick shot before they went Baaaa Baaa all the way to TX...
Hope you had a super week too...anything exciting for you???
All the best to enjoy whatever you are up to...

don't miss the new FOLK

The latest issue of FOLK is in and woo hoo, it's wonderful...

I previously posted that the new March-April issue has a 6 page feature on Earth Angels' friend, Dick Lanne -- hubby to painter Jennifer Lanne...

I also has a wonderful feature on Mother's Day gift giving and I am tickled to have worked with Editor in Chief, Ben Ashby on putting this together...

Did you get yours? If not...do before they are gone on the spring breeze...

...photo shoot is a piece of "pie"

My friend Jo Packham -- creator of "Where Women Create" and "Where Women Cook" fame -- is putting together another book called "Pieography".

She put the word out asking for essays from women on "your life as a pie"...in other words, if you needed to analogize your life into the ingredients of a pie...what would yours be...Nutty? Something savory? Bittersweet?

I took Jo at her challenge and wrote the requisite 3oo word essay...though I cannot spill the beans on the specifics or the actual recipe of my "life as a pie" here -- you'll need to wait for the book to print to peek at that -- I can share with you the shoot that followed.

You see the "pie" has to have a real recipe to go with it! The pie has to be baked and photographed to accompany the essay...So we set to it this week...

I have a fab assistant who works for me 2 days a week, , Harold, aka the "kid henchman" who does my shipping, photo editing, etc, took on the baking challenge so I could shoot the photos...

Here are the results of my recipe...
"Iron Skillet Banana Pie"...

Sure it looks good...but it tastes better!
Here's my fave shot of the day....

You just never know what's cooking here at Earth Angels...but it does take a lot to pull it all together. Thanks to Harold for the assistance on this shoot...

Now, we are back to the regular schedule, but time for a snack first.

"Never Forget to Play"...love that!

I got some playtime in this week mixed in with the work...
...a jaunt to Hudson was in the cards for a photo shoot for FOLK magazine...thanks to Kathy, Steph and Jennifer for knowing just how to jam pack that much fun into 4 hours....and just look at that loot in the above image...great stuff in Stephanie Lloyd's showroom at the Hudson Supermarket...and look at that huge painting by Jennifer Lanne...drool-worthy....
...it was time to wear the green and dance the jig...thanks to my niece Beth and her hubby Mike (a nice Italian boy) for hosting the annual St. Patty's day festivities....
...anyone else see the shamrock in this trio of green milks from St. Patty's day breakfast???
...we caught the parade in Pearl River, NY...what a do!
...Charlotte went to a party at this uber successful kid palace...there's a interesting article on the founder in this month's "Fortune"...what a success story...how come we didn't think of this???
...Jane, this one is for you...look at Stephanie's movabale feast of walking medals...
...congrats to Melody Elizabeth Doyel in her story in the new issue of "Romantic Country"and thanks to Editor in Chief Mary Forsell for loving on the Earth Angels....
...last year it was edible Easter grass...now it's edible confetti...I can hardly wait to set the table...it's amazing what a $1.49 can get you at Target...
yeah, as if i only spent a buck-forty-nine!!
...why does fake food seem so captivating...I nabbed a trio of ice cream sundaes this week, they once stood sentry in an ice cream parlor in Utica, NY...faded glory and still calorie free...
...it's been too long since we had new "Elements" jewelry in stock...we spent a lot of time doing photos and posting them to the site this week...
...ohh too sweet for words, the're are new littles in from Valerie Weberpal and someone who lives here wants one badly...

Add Image
...the latest works from Laurie Meseroll are utterly exceptional...love the message of this one..."balance"...
...and there we have it...a peek at my week..

Hope yours was a good one...anyone have anything to share...leave a comment on what made your week memorable....little moments or large...
